The Aviation Explorer Program exposes youth between the ages of 14-20 to a career in aviation.
Explorer Post 7500, affiliated through the Boy Scouts of America, is a hands-on program for young men and women between the ages of 14-20 with an interest in learning more about a career in aviation, while making new friends and networking with professionals already working in the aviation field.
Based at French Valley Airport and sponsored by EFI Flight School, Post 7500 is entirely driven by the Explorers and facilitated by adult volunteers who are experienced aviators, teachers and mentors. Activities include tours, guest speakers, and hands-on activities such as flying in a flight simulator and basic ground school lessons. Several of our Explorers are working toward their Private Pilot license, while others are working on advanced ratings!
Explorers meet the first Friday of every month, 6:30pm at EFI Flight School, French Valley Airport.
