(EXPLORER POST 7500)

Are you between the ages of 14 and 20 and interested in Aviation related fields? This could be anything from being a pilot, airplane mechanic, Air Traffic Controller, Airport Manager, Aeronautical Engineer, or anything in between! If so, becoming an Explorer is a perfect way to be exposed to these careers through hands on experience and activities.

Explorer Post 7500, affiliated through the Boy Scouts of America, meets on a regular basis (usually once or twice a month) for formal meetings. During this time, members discuss Post related business such as activities, fundraising, trips, etc., then engage in a pre-chosen topic of discussion and/or training. The trainings can range from basic flight ground school, flying in a simulator, professionals sharing their career, to specific aviation topics that the post would like to learn about or discuss. This is entirely driven by the Explorers while the adult leaders monitor, facilitate, provide the training and assist with resources!

The Post holds fundraising activities and seeks scholarships to offset costs for flight lessons and trips, such as Aeronautical and Engineering camps at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ., tours of Air Traffic Facilities, Air Shows, camping, and fly ins to name a few.

If you are committed, enjoy challenges, having fun, and getting to know others, then we want to hear from you! Please contact Kelly Manzani at: kmanzani4@gmail.com or visit the Explorer Post’s official website below for more information!
