What drew me into the world of flying was the freedom to travel places in a shorter period of time and not have to be held up by traffic. I had always dreamed of being a pilot but never thought it would be something that I would accomplish in my lifetime, until the day I went for my first flight in a small airplane and I was immediately hooked. Within a few months I had purchased a plane and began my lessons toward becoming a private pilot. As I was getting closer to the end of my private pilot training I realized that I wanted it to be more than a hobby and went full time as a student to receive my instrument, commercial single engine and multi engine as well as my single engine and multi engine flight instructor ratings. It was one of the best decisions of my life and now I have this great job as a flight instructor, where most days it does not feel like I’m at work.
